| Biography
I‘ve been involved in
health and human performance for as long as I can remember. In high
school, I earned awards in Football, Basketball and Track and Field. My love
for Science and Sports lead me to Kinesiology (“the study of Human
Movement”) at the unparalleled, University of Maryland at College Park, (“Go
Terps!”). While at UMD, I ran 4 years of Track solidifying my spot on
the record board for the 400m Hurdles. After UMD, I worked in a
Physical Therapy clinic, assisting therapists with patient pre/rehab, and
exercise prescriptions, while also competing in professional track. I
began Personal Training in 2001 and although I work with mainly athletes
(young and old, competitive and recreational), I have been very successful
working with all ages on stability training, weight loss or gain, core,
balance, flexibility, strength and/or power training. In the last 3
years, I’ve played two seasons of Semi-Pro Football (wide receiver, kick
return, safety), and received my Master’s in Biomechanics from the
University of Texas. I say all this to say that, “I not only teach
Human Movement Performance, I choose to excel at it”. |
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy high level
competition in football, track and basketball and recreational tennis.
I also enjoy lots of family fun with my wife and 8 month old son.
Training Philosophy
1) “There can
be no progress without some sacrifice.”
2) “Perseverance
is not a long race; it is many short races one after another.”
